POSITION: Program Facilitator (Seeking 2 – 3 people)

Program Facilitators will work in cooperation with the Project Leads to assist in executing the programming for Durham Black Students’ Network (DBSN). The Program Facilitator position is a 12 month part-time contract (approximately 5 hours a
week)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execution and delivery of programs
  • Youth Participants (age 14 – 29) and Program Facilitators providing feedback about
    project effectiveness (includes observations and conversation)
  • Supporting structures for data collection and administration (includes meeting agendas
    and minutes)
  • Acting as liaisons between Project Leads and participants (i.e., on-going reviews,
    surveys, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Minimum age requirement seeks individuals ages between 16 – 29 due to the
    function and funding of the position
  • Must be capable of establishing positive interpersonal relationships and able to work as an effective team member in collaboration with other parties
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a interdisciplinary team as well as the ability to function independently with clients with a predictable outcome
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills
  • Demonstrate flexibility and strong organization skills
  • Computer Literate
  • Self motivated and demonstrated ability to motivate others
